This week, I had two people submit ideas via my blog on Tumblr which were very similar [thank you "christaking" and "blessingsforthebrokenhearted"] and asked for a song about letting go of a past relationship.
One of my favorite songs off my newest record is about just that thing, so I decided to record for them this acoustic version. "Last Goodbye" epitomizes that point in a relationship where you've realized that it's just not right, but you're still having to convince yourself to let go of it.
I hope you all enjoy this interpretation, and just for this week, you can grab BOTH the acoustic and full band / album versions of this song for FREE via the links above.
Big thanks to Danny Young and Paul Shearer for adding their talent to this week.

lyrics
-------------------------------
LAST GOODBYE
Nothing left to say
All my reasons behind me
So you go yours and I'll go my way
Every step I seem to take
Is further from where we begin
And closer to I'll start again
Chorus:
So maybe life's not right
For what this love has got in store
One last goodbye
Is all I waited for
But I'm not anymore
But I keep finding you in a memory
All tied to
Tied to the best pieces of me
I always seem to play the fool
And wind up broken hearted
But I can't tell just where it started
CHORUS
Everyone keeps telling me
The past is practice
And I just can't keep killing time
While I get past this
Again
CHORUS
